Hello everyone! Very long time and no see! School has absolutely swamped me and honestly I totally forgot how much fun I have blogging. I started a new blog : http://styleiridescence.blogspot.com.au/ if anyone is interested. It's been over two years since I last posted on this blog! Sorry everyone!
So tonight, while I can't sleep and I feel overly productive, I thought I would show you what I like to put on my face on a daily basis. I don't necessarily love all these products, but it's just the routine I've recently gotten into. Enjoy!
P.S. I do apologise if the lighting is bad and doesn't do the products justice. I'm a night owl.
Simple Spotless Skin Anti-Blemish Moisturiser
This product I think it quite nice, it's light, doesn't leave an oily feeling on my face but because I have such awful skin it tends to dry it out a bit. Other than that, it's a nice daily moisturiser and the smell isn't too bad considering it have zinc in it.
Revlon New Complexion Oil Control Makeup
I have to say, this makes my skin a thousand times oilier than it already is. I usually love Revlon face makeup, but this one is quite disappointing. I like that it's SPF 20, but that's probably the only upside to this product. Whenever I touch my face, it goes everywhere and I really have to load up on powder for it to look dewy. Don't recommend this for people with oily skin, but for now I can handle it so I haven't wasted my money. I have the shade 02 Buff and it suits my skin tone well.
I am currently really liking this product, that's why mine looks so mangled. I think it can be layered and the shimmer in it is nice and subtle. Of course, the smell is amazing and I don't even like chocolate that much (don't hate me..). The highlighter side doesn't seem to do that much, but I'm not a regular user of highlighter. I'm not sure if it comes in different shades, but mine says 55 on the cover.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
My staple powder that I'll buy forever. I have the shade 001 Transparent and I love that you don't have to match your powder colour to your foundation colour with this and it doesn't make you look like a ghost in photos. A must for any drug store makeup user.
Ladykin Real Like Innateline Eyebrow Stick
I like this product, but I do have to say I didn't pick the right shade for me. I chose Dark Brown but I should've gone for a lighter shade. I can get away with using this product however as you can apply it really lightly and still get a nice look. I like that it have a spoolie on one end, very helpful.
L'Oreal False Lash Architect Waterproof Mascara
I think this mascara does great things for my lashes, it makes them look slightly longer and nice and dark, but the formula is slightly clumpy and the brush doesn't help this. It's also incredibly hard to get off more so than any other waterproof mascara I've used, I don't use regular mascara as I'm prone to hayfever and just being a sensitive soul. I think it's nice but there are equally great mascaras at better prices.
Lip Products : Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm and Burt's Bees Lip Balm
These two products are my go to easy application school lip colours. The Covergirl one (in a colour I can't remember, it's got berry in the name though) adds a nice fresh touch to my makeup, but does tend to dry up after a little while. It's easy to apply though and doesn't smudge and budge. The Burt's Bees lip balm is one of the best lip balms I've owned. I have owned the peppermint and mango variations, but I really love the smell coconut and pear makes, I never knew they could smell so lovely together. It's very smooth and hydrating and doesn't disappoint.
Brushes I Use : Real Techniques
(From Front to Back Pictured)
Unfortunately my editing program cut off the ends of the brushes. Sorry!
For my powder I use the lovely fluffy multi task brush. I just adore big fluffy brushes that are fun to use and make your face look even and light, not cakey.
For my liquid foundation I use the buffing brush which I am so happy I invested in. It helps my makeup to look much more flawless and blended.
For my bronzer I use the setting brush, which probably isn't the best brush to use for this but I find it is easier to use in the bronzer and it doesn't touch the highlighter when I'm getting the product on my brush. I will definitely invest in a larger bronzer brush in the future, but for now this works just fine.
So there you have it! My daily face, I hope you found some things you might want to try out.
Au Revoir!
